The lovely beaches of Kalathas and Stavros on the Akrotiri peninsula are no more than a 10 or 15 minute drive, whilst Chania itself is just 5 minutes by car or the local bus service. For a quiet night out in rural surroundings the village of Kounoupidiana is also 5 minutes drive away and has a number of tavernas as well as a baker, laundromat and a useful ATM cash machine.

Within easy walking distance there's a very good restaurant with superb panoramic views towards Chania, whilst within a few minutes drive there's a further choice of tavernas as well as a large supermarket. Although it is possible to use taxis and the local bus service to get in and out of Chania, we do recommend car hire.
